leaving for japan soon! i think the flight's rather late, at 12 or smtg. so we will reach japan, in the early morning, then we'll be up and about fot shopping! especially, at the 100 -yen shop:D

ohoh, yesterday was fun!
went for the ISETAN like-mega sale. bought the iron steamer thingy where u just can iron standing up? haha. so cool. next time, dun need to suffer ironing school uniforms.
met jill there! & mummy went to buy all her everbest shoes. ohoh and i bought a red bag! the brand is M.E.L. yup, i like it! and i'm bringing it for the trip. but mummy hates it.like totally hates it. she got angry with me for buying it. she's wants to buy me a Guess, Christian Dior bag. but i don't even fancy those branded bags with all those ugly logos printed on it.

headed down to marina square to have seoul garden with sissies, and sat there eating for like 3 hours! vyl didnt really like the food though. but overall the lunch was filled with fun and fats. haha/.

decided to shop around before heading to vivo to meet mum. vyl and i got a shirt from Topshop. and i bought a white belt to match with my red bag!
nat and vyl bought a white belt too. :D happy people.
decide to head home, and i am so fat now! i really should start being determined to exercise. loser syl. go run la. got a new pair of sports shoes, and it's still in the box.( haha. i'm talking to myself, i think it;s quite funy)

okay. new year resolution: exercise daily and lose weight.

hike yestererday was tiring.(ouchouch) but fun! and ultimately, we learnt something out for the tiringtiring 18kilometres! yes. 18 kilometres. totally dying.

i kinda feel in the mood to type and blog,but my head's kinda processing information v slowly. & i still have pictures to put up from going out with sissies, sleepover with jdsa and i have to blog about the hike. i'll do it slowly.

dad left for newyork. and i was supposed to be leaving with him. but though my going there ticket is confirmed, my coming back seems quite impossible cos the flights full. and dad doesnt want me to be stranded in between two airports.
but can you imagine the CHRISTMAS-Y felling i would have if i wENT.

church! reached church kinda late cos sissies, mum and i were like playing around with all of mum's clothes.
had no lesson cos there was only 4 of us.

headed to parkway with sissies and mum.& had like lunch at fish and co. and shopped around parkway.
can't wait for tomorrow's lunch with aunty mona!

THURSDAY.
oh & i got my jc for the first three months. quite disappointed.
knowing that i COULD have successfully gone to another jc, with my points. but, i totallly screwed up the order of choice of selection.
appealed & i am praying that i'll get throught the appeal.
ultimately, i know God has a plan and he'll see me through.
was kinda in a bad mood the whole day,went to appeal with nat. and popped by tampiness mall for a while. was kinda looking forward to the MANGO sale that poh told me about, but nothing much. & the place was just BURSTING with people.like so packed.

& i hate crowded shoppingplaces. i feel it's super confusing for me whenthere are like so manymany human beings walking in all sorts of direction.& i'll start feeling faint.
haha. its true. esoecially at bugis. like ohmygosh.

i think whenever i go out with my sissies,we spend alot of money on food. & who could'nt resist chicken wings! LOVELY. OH YA AND CHOCOLATE ICE-BLENDED BUBBLE TEA!

met dad at the train station where he sent us home after buying dinner.

oh & 've greatly cut down on my watching tv times. i am up in my room at ten this few days, rather than the 1 am that was my routine since the Olevels ended.and i kinda started on Christmas cards, since i DON'T think i'll be greatly purchasing or spending time making presents for people this year. i think time is just the factor. and what to get for people. therefore, i'll TRY to make lovely handmade cards for people. I'LL TRY.
but i sorta ended up decorating my room. and weaving stuff. pasted more glow-in-the -dark stars around. oh & i finally decorated my room door after waiting for like FOREVER. it's preetttie! kinda just pasted everything and anything on the door.

& did i tell you?
i;ve got a stereo in my room! with three speakers! it's something i really wanted for a LOONGG TIME. yippie!

& today,friday i wasted my day again.watched tv the whole day. the aircon people came to fix my aircon and my parent's aircon. cos it was leaking. and my room cost $30! i should have just let the water keep on dripping man! 30bucks!

after their game but since it was late, we decided to stay home.so nat and i
went to pick up dinner by walking to the coffeeshop.

& my daddy was v keen to bring me to new york with him. but it's too much of a risk as he don;t want me o be left alone traveling between the 2 airports cos the return fligt is too packed. so looks like i wont be going anywhere.

getting late! tomorrow's the hike. all of a sudden. i don't feel like going.

hello! its 2 am! and i wonder why i am still up.
tomorrow is the J.D.S.A.'S SLEEPOVER CUM OUTING CUM SHOPPING PLAN.

J.D.S.A consists of joycelyn, dorea,ME!, and amanda.

we're so special, cause believe it or not, we've know each other since we were SIX. yup that;s TEN LONG YEARS, and the even more special part is that. we've been in the same school for ten whole years.

i believe God has a reason for placing us all together throughout all the years. and i can say that i've friendship has really been very strong with the occassional ups-and-downs.with the very childsih primary school tactics of " i dun friend you already" to the solving of disputes between us.

tomorrow, or can i say today, we're gonna celebrate being in the same school for ten years, being in the same church and just being a friend we know we can count on in times of need, just by doing anything and everything. be it exercising,fashionshows,sleepovers.talkingthroughoutthenight.shopping,making pancakes together.or catching a movie together.

and if God allows, may we be in the same school next year. whih would mean Meridian, since manda has already secured a place there! SUPERDUPERLUCKYGIRL:D

i cannot wait!

church was okay today. headed for second service, and left with sissies and debbie at eleven to head for breakfast.
i remember QUACKSTACK'S and my new year resolutions were to attend every second service in the whole year.that will be 52 TIMES.

BUT, SADLY, i think the number of times that i've sat in for a full service, can be easily counted jsut using by fingers and toes.,nothing more.

WELL, this YEAR, has been a year when i was rather far and distant from theLORD. the only regret that i have this year, was placing my studies over GOD.
i skipped many SSS because of tuition, and stopped serving in worship comm.i often went for services, and during the sermons, i would scribble my"to-do"lists, or try very hard to write down some stuff i've memorised the night before.
till today, i feel rather ashamed of myself, as i allowed myself to be so easily swayed,which led to my misplacing of priority.though i prayed regularly, my quiet time was a MESS.A TOTAL MESS. i was constantly feeding myself with the academic knowledge, yet disallowing myself to soak up the words from GOD,

i tried to do quiet time. but thought praying was sufficient," God should understand la"was what i consoled myself whenever i failed to do my quiet time.maybe it was the heart that was the cause of this, i couldnt discipline myself to do it regularly..i tried to do it for a few days, then i couldnt keep up.

but, since God causes everything to happen for a reason. i thank Him for allowing me to realise that what i really need is God. and i thank Him for gicing me the discipline to o my quiet time everysingleday since my exams are over,

NEXT YEAR'S RESOLUTION: be disciplined and have a personal walk with GOD& this time, i wont let anything take priority of the one and only.

class was fun as usual, lindy had the lesson using the small little book" satisfied??"

mummydearest came to pick us up, headed home to change to meet cuzzies and aunties and uncles at e club. we booked the badminton court for two hours, and played and played. i love badminton!:D

meeting up with hte cuzzies was great fun. since we all three had Olevle this year, one had PSLE,. but sad enough, the o called great relationship that we once shared with song and quan, is gone. we were very close,and i mean SUPERDUPERCLOSE.we would meet like at least twice a week, play all sort of games with the boys,have sleepovers,until our parents felt that we were too old to be sleeping on the same beds,but the feeling of close-ness is gone. i don't think it ill ever return. i guess it's just the growing up, growing up is real hard. we lose friends and we gain them. but the friendships we lose, may never be restored.it's hard, but i've sorta gotten used to this feeling.

though i always say that the feeling btween sand//* is very much same, its not the same when there are two people who have left.we've grown up, and we're no more identical already.

t keep friendships strong,i think the only way is to communicate.or else without communication and meeting up, friendships die easily.

sissies went to catch casino royale in the morning. didnt go cos i had gone with steph.roxane,joan and jonathan during one sunday.
so i stayed at home and cleared up my never-ending messy room.
dunno what i did, but time passed so superduperfastlyfast.and i had no mood to clean up,so i just stayed in my room and stoned. until i decided to call POH,myfriend. dumped me again, no, i think i dumped her. cos my mummy was making me get off the line

daddy was called up cos he was on stand by, and it was only till he reached the airport that the airplane was changed to the oldest model, and he was not trained to operate that model of aircraft so he came home! yippie!yv-eed the whole night till very late, and my room is still in a golly big mess.

oh gosh, why can;t i just CLEAR THE FREAKING MESS.?!

movie marathon-ed with cynthia today.
it was a definite mixture of FUN.LAUGHTER.FEARS.&FATS./

vyl and nat came too,with manda,elise,stephanie,glenn,yanting.watched 5 movies in total. it's not something you would actually do with your tuition teacher. but she's cool.

she's more like a friend to me. who calls me a fluffbunny, and i should just hop around everyday,she's the one who thinks i am PRETTIEEE. (thank you cynthieeee)and she's the one who thinks i should just take up fashion designing cos i have such great fashion taste. (thank you again cynthieee).and always uses the phrase,
"but GOd is always fair, you can't have beauty and brains".

haha./ don't think most of you would get it. but i do! and i wanna prove to her that i do actually have the brains to!
BUT, she's one who truly cares about how i perform, and she's one who is available 24/7,& just a phonecall away.she's one who writes "love"notes when i totally flunk the mock exam papers,saying how much more i have to push myself, and how disappointed she was.she's the first tuition teacher that made me,and every one of us cry during one session cos we didnt do as expected.she's one who is so much more nervous than us for the papers, and wakes up 6am everyday during out Os to send us long pages of encouragement,before bouncing off to lalaland/she's super generous, and committed. and i totally adore her and her crazy antics and her sadistic jokes, which sadly, most of the time, i don't really grasp the full meaning of the joke.

haha. this post has become a post dedicated to my tutiton teacher! haha.

Pop by town again with my sissies again. been going out with them for most of the holidays, and what can i say, it's fun:D


chanced upon roxane and rachel at bugis. and spent the whole day just roaming around bugis, going in to every possible shop and trying on clothes after clothes, totally fun when all three of us SQUEEZE into a changing room, which are so terribly small. by the way, i like the changing room at "b.y.s.i" it was very BEEEG.and the walls were so nice and white and cushion-y.
bought a skirt from that place.it's PURPLE and i like it! and did i tell you the price of the skirt? $23 freaking dollars. never bought a skirt this cheap.and it's really nice too!
oh yah, xcept from the pink skirt which i bought at this bangkok departmental store for $15 bucks,which is still lying in my cupboard untouched.
nat bought a three quarters, very classy black with gold stripes. it's like totally her.
and lastly we bought a cropped cardigan, very nice, but it's like those woolly material which makes it a good absorber of radiant heat, which means the user would just record a higher temperature than others.

vyl was TOTALLY on a eating spree.hoping from place to place to eat and eat and eat! not usual of her, but being the kind,sweet&loving sister;me i gladly obliged and bought nd bought all the food stuff for her. had dinner at the coffee-shop before heading to jollibean to pick up some stuff for vyl, then to delifrance for dessert!
yummyyummy fruit tarts! wanted chocolate eclairs but they only had coffee eclair so, nat and i shared a fruit tart, while the rather hungry vyl had one to herself!

vyl is currently looking for a nice empire top.however, we don;t really see many shop selling them. the one she tried on at FOREVER 21 was nice, but on the higher range of the money scale. we're talking about cheap&good buys people!

my dad when he sent us off, actually asked us to pop by OG, as there would be good buys. so around 8 we walked to OG, only to be greeted with big floral ugly prints on shirts.very obiang, i must say. this led my sissies to come up with the meaning of OG.= OLD GRANDMOTHER.

i am serious! everything, or mostly everything was old. or maybe we were being a tad too critical, but you can't blame us, for being tired and a little wee bit irritated cos the excessive walking around for 6 hours put a strain on our dear legs.

oh yah met joan at bugis accidentally. the ironic thing was that we were messaging each other about caroling stuff.and then when i was in the midst of replying, we met! haha.

hello! just came back from the gym with nat and parents.
it was a good getaway from home, since my parents were like super pissed off with each other.the constant squabbling was super irritating i tell you.

tuesday!

caroling practice! couldn't fall asleep the night before as i realised that i had not ordered the pizzas yet, and was SO worried that the pizzas wont come on time,haha. i am such a worry freak.

worship went well. thank you God! apart from the wee bit embarrasing part when i nearly fell backwards when i went to take the mike. hahaha.
after worship aunty ailing shared with us a short message of peace.
having peace firstly with ourselves.
having peace secondly with others.
and having peace with God.

the pizza arrived just on time. and i wondered why i was so worried the day before. guess it's the desire in each and everyone of us to do things perfectly. if anything goes out of what i planned, i'll one who will just panic.

all the 8 pizzas were eaten up!all fears of over-ordering was again, a worry.
the last practice that is on the 21st, i'll just order like rice and dishes for you people:D
joan and i cleaned up the place after lunch, and headed for our practice!, feeling fat full and sleeply.
sectionals went quite well, though a little boring cos we had to repeat and repeat and repeat the same song.mark seow kept coming in cos we were the best sounding section! yes, werock,werock. boo to the altos!

wanted to walk home with sissies but it felt as if it was gonna rain.if berd was there, she'll use her boobs to tell if rain's coming. but hooray for me cos i am NORMAL person. i use my eyes and my ears. not my boobs like BERDO does. so we took the bus home. and while walking up the overhead bridge, my sandlas broke! boohoohoo.and i started walking up that LONG slope shoe-less.

monday

headed to church for worship practice at 8am. i was like rushing and rushing cos i woke up late. practice only started 45 minutes later, with our dear bassist, Gretl who overslept until i called her house.practice went quite well and very fast, i was home at 10.30.

put up the puny Christmas tree, which is like so so small compared with the very high ceiling.took close to 2 hours to get that tree up and standing beautifully.
it's funny how our parents promise themselves that they will buy a new and bigger tree each year while putting th tree up, and the next year they are still saying the same old things.
" next year we will buy a new tree".HAHA.i think that's quite funny.

headed out of the house to go SHOPPING with my dear sissies.bought acessories AGAIN.
so far my record is that i've spent 50 bucks on accessories in one single day.i love accessories!every piece is so different and i've got like a few earrings that ive not even worn for more than two times. we totally treated ourselves to nice food and walked and shopped and ate from bugis to bugis street to orchard. met debbie at orchard at wisma and shopped for quite a bit before heading tto take photos.

i think orchard road is boring and taxing to the legs during the day.
but at night. it's kinda GORGEOUS.
love the christmas-y feeling and humongous trees decorated preetily(is there even such a word?!).

the longest and most tiring day was spent in church today! went for second service, and was so not absorbing whatever was going on,and constantly disturbed with my sissies occasional giggles and laughters.
had lesson with lindy! and its like gonna be our last few lessons with her.


kinda faked getting angry with her after she told me that she won't be our teacher next year,i guess i will miss her! she's just so nice to talk too.and she's like a wonderful listener:D and i absolutely cannot disturb/make fun of her/ attempt to lengthen her haversack which she carries oh-so-high/andkick her shoes of and pass to jill to hide them.
i will miss you lindy!

had lunch with steph and nicky and lisel and daryl and doreathea.headed back to church for worship practice which went surprising well, despite the fact that i've not led for like close to ten months!
guess it's definitely different when you fully entrust the whole worship into God's hands, letting him be in full control of everything.then things justt startt to fall in place, just like a jigsaw puzzle.

hahaha. i kept singing too high!and i have to like lower my head just to get the correct notes.the band had to like play the chorus of you are my world like 6 times before i finally got the right note with cherlyn's guidance.but overall worship practice went well,wasn't too taxing... (for me only) wherelse i could hear and see cherlyn going "ouch and blowing her fingers duing various parts of the songs. steph was also complaing that her leg was hurting!(but she'll get leg muscles man!)
joan was v sweet to stand in for quackstack who is still in turkey with the birds:D

after practice, joan.jocelyn.steph.cherlyn and i walked out from church, discussing about the dress code, which led us to a disussion that led us to talk about how we feel with guys wearing collared shirts with jeans.finally after the loong discussion we settled on black and/or red for the ladies!
met some of nicky's friends. actually we didnt really meet them.stephanie just said we should say hi, so i went and said hi as they were walking past us. and they like totally turned and stared at us all the way!

accompanied joan and jocelyn and steph as they had their dinner at the coffeeshop where we were greeted with a dozen flying flies. dinner turned out to be a swatting files and "getting rid of flies from our hairs session".

worship practice tomorrow at eight in the morning. after that heading down somwhere to shop with my sissies!should be town or somewhere.gonna shop for caroling clothes!

reminder:

1. ask lilian if i can borrow her red dress
2. order the pizzas for tuesday's caroling practice.
3. call mr how to book the bus for transportation on the caroling day.
4. call up/ ask the senipr sevens/yag ppl if they are taking the bus.

okay, let me tell you how much fun we had.

• tried cooking oft-cooked eggs.but they were a tad too cooked.
• the ice kachang that nat and abi cooked up to give to nicholas as his birthday gift.and they just threw in everything
• bowls.bowls.bowls
• we stole the next tables's cutlery
• we decided to make our own marinate so it's nicholas's garlic and garlic chilli marinate.
• then my spicy hot korean chilli marinate.
• anyone heard of prawn ice-cream?
• the fruits were quite nice
• i mixed up all the ice-cream to produce this very nice blend of colours!
• prawn ice-cream, in a nicer presentation
• the tom-yam soup which was rather tasteless and gross.
• and i made soup!threw in like all the kimchi,and salted veg and mushrooms. it became nice soup!
• prawns that dear nicholas ate ALL MY HIMSELF.the pile of shells was so high (whoa)
• and lastly, the note that we left to the waiters, to tell them that we're sorry for the terrible mess and noise that we had created. after placing the note carefully on the grill. we scurried out feeling rather guilty.

headed down to orchard, cos marina was getting boring. and orchard was an even more boring place. headed to cine to take neoprints like (finally) after how many months of being stuck at home!i love taking neoprints. you get this feeling of hyper-ness and you just wanna take moremoremore!



the pictures turned out okay, though the excessive addition of eyeliner to our eyes was very much not needed.decided to head home, and took a long bus ride with abi.
and went to play basketball with dad.and sissies.a good time of burning out the overload of proteins that i stufeed into my body.it was a good bonding time. vyl and myself beat dad and nat hands down:Dand i still have that wonderful basketball streak in me:D and dad says i am still a good player (hiphiphooray)
